Veteran actor and writer Shaukat Zaidi, aged 72, passed away on Saturday night after battling a prolonged illness.
He succumbed to death at a private hospital in Lahore, where he was undergoing kidney treatment. Shaukat Zaidi had a notable career in journalism from 1970 to 1998 and was also known for his contributions to theatre, writing plays for over a decade.

Despite his diverse body of work, he gained significant acclaim for his role in “Hum Sab Umeed Se Hain,” where he portrayed a representative of the working class.
