LAHORE โ A sessions court in Lahore on Monday granted interim pre-arrest bail to YouTuber Rajab Butt and TikToker Nadeem Mubarak, also known as Nadeem Nani Wala, in a gambling apps case. The case pertains to the promotion of illegal gambling applications in Pakistan.
The duo appeared before Additional Sessions Judge Mansoor Ahmed Qureshi to seek interim bail. During proceedings, the court instructed both applicants to cooperate with the ongoing investigation. The court also ordered that neither Rajab Butt nor Nadeem Mubarak should be arrested until January 6.
It was noted that Rajab Butt had previously secured bail from the Islamabad High Court, which directed him to approach the sessions court for further proceedings. After hearing arguments from their legal counsel, the court approved interim bail for both individuals. The next hearing in the gambling apps case is scheduled for a future date.
The bail applications were filed through Barrister Mian Ali Ashfaq. Rajab Butt applied for bail in one case, while Nadeem Mubarak applied in two separate cases registered by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA). The court emphasized that both applicants must join the investigation and comply with all legal requirements during the interim period.
YouTuber Saadur Rehman, popularly known as Ducky Bhai, is also named in the gambling apps case. He was arrested at Lahore airport on August 17 in connection with the investigation and was granted bail last month. His involvement has attracted widespread media attention, highlighting the governmentโs efforts to curb illegal gambling promotions through social media platforms.
Authorities have stated that investigations are ongoing to identify other individuals involved in promoting illegal gambling applications. Law enforcement agencies have urged social media influencers to exercise caution and comply with local laws.
