The Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, has announced strict rules for members speaking in parliament.
He stated that no member will be allowed to speak against Pakistan, the judiciary, or the armed forces.
Sadiq emphasized that only constitutionally appropriate discussions will be permitted on the parliament floor.
During his visit to Lahore’s National College of Arts (NCA), Ayaz Sadiq praised the institution for fostering creativity and research.
He highlighted the role of talented graduates in contributing meaningfully to society.
The Speaker described himself as neutral, not aligned with the government or opposition, and focused on maintaining order in parliament.
Sadiq stressed that opposition leaders following decorum and speaking responsibly will continue to have the floor.
He clarified that protests are allowed if they are peaceful, without violence, vandalism, or use of weapons.
The Speaker underlined that any attempt to disrupt parliamentary proceedings will be dealt with firmly under constitutional rules.
On economic matters, Ayaz Sadiq highlighted positive developments in Pakistan’s economy.
He noted that foreign exchange reserves have reached $40 billion and remittances are steadily increasing.
The Speaker also mentioned Pakistan’s growing international ties with countries including the United States, China, Russia, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey.
Sadiq pointed out that, while corruption and mafias exist globally, truth and justice act as safeguards against wrongdoing in Pakistan.
He emphasized that his consultations with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif are constructive and do not hinder his parliamentary decisions.
The Speaker reiterated that protecting the integrity of parliament is essential for national stability and governance.

He concluded by warning that any attempts to harm the country or disrupt parliamentary decorum will not succeed.
