DI Khan Terror Strike: Two KP Cops Sacrificed, Three Sustain Injuries

In a recent act of terrorism at an oil and gas company in Dera Ismail Khan, two police officers were tragically killed, and three others sustained injuries. The Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) for the area informed the media that this terrorist attack took place earlier today in the Drazanda tehsil of DI Khan.

The injured law enforcement officers and the bodies of the fallen officers have been transported to a local medical facility for medico-legal procedures. Security forces have also initiated a search operation to apprehend the suspects responsible for this incident.

This marks the fifth attack in the last five days in the region. Previously, militants had stormed the Gul Imam Police Station in the Tank area of the district. On the same day, another police officer was injured in a terrorist attack on a checkpoint near Kulachi tehsil.

Earlier, in a tragic incident, six individuals lost their lives, including two policemen and over two dozen others were injured in an explosion targeting a police van in DI Khan’s Tank Adda area.

The provinces of KP and Balochistan have experienced a significant increase in terrorist incidents as militants persist in targeting both civilians and armed forces personnel.

Furthermore, on Monday, four soldiers, including a lieutenant colonel from the Pakistan Army, were martyred during an operation in the country’s northwestern region near the Afghanistan border in a firefight with terrorists.
