Meghan Markle’s reported feelings toward Kate Middleton have once again come under the spotlight.
The Duchess of Sussex, who joined the Royal Family in 2018 after marrying Prince Harry, has struggled with the constant admiration Kate receives from the public.
According to Lizzie Cundy, a friend of Meghan, the former actress was unsettled by the strong affection the public shows toward the Princess of Wales. Speaking to the Daily Mail, Cundy said: “She’s fuming how the public love Kate. She needs to stop being bitter, stop being angry and stop being ‘poor me’.”
The remarks resurface as Meghan Markle faces reports that she has been advised not to accompany Prince Harry on his upcoming visit to the United Kingdom.
A US source told The Mirror: “For the first time in a long time, there’s a genuine sense that reconciliation is within reach. Prince Harry’s team and the Palace have opened a line of communication, and there is every hope that father and son will see one another when the Duke returns to London in September.”
Meghan Markle’s absence from the trip is seen by some royal experts as an attempt to ease tensions and allow Prince Harry to focus on repairing his relationship with King Charles.
Since stepping back from royal duties in 2020, Meghan and Harry have often made headlines for their strained ties with the Royal Family. While Meghan has publicly spoken about her challenges within the monarchy, the ongoing comparisons with Kate Middleton remain a recurring theme.
Observers believe that Harry’s potential meeting with his father could mark an important step toward healing divisions within the family, even if Meghan stays in California during the visit.
