Taylor Swift has once again reminded fans of her kindness after wrestling legend Jeff Jarrett revealed a touching story from nearly two decades ago.
In a recent interview with TMZ Sports, Jarrett shared how Taylor Swift performed a private three-hour Christmas concert for his late wife, Jill, during her cancer battle in 2006. At the time, Swift was a teenage newcomer living in Tennessee and had developed a close bond with the Jarrett family.
Jarrett recalled that his wife was very ill with breast cancer when Swift came to their home on Christmas Eve. She picked up her guitar at the request of his daughters and performed an intimate set in their great room, where nearly 45 people gathered to listen.
Jill sadly passed away in May 2007, but Taylor Swift remained a constant support for the family. She often babysat the Jarrett children, baked cookies with them, and even cast Jaclyn Jarrett, one of Jeff’s daughters, to play a young version of herself in the 2010 music video for Mine.
“She bonded with the girls in such a special way,” Jarrett said, describing the unique relationship Swift built with his family. He also mentioned that he continues to stay in touch with Swift’s father, Scott.
