Traffic Plan Issued for Eid Milad un Nabi Processions in Karachi

Karachi Traffic Police have issued a traffic plan for the 12 Rabi ul Awal processions scheduled across the city on Saturday. The plan aims to manage congestion and ensure smooth movement during the religious celebrations.

Every year, Eid Milad un Nabi (PBUH) is celebrated with public processions and gatherings, and Karachi is no exception. This year, multiple processions will pass through major city routes, including MA Jinnah Road.

According to the traffic police spokesperson, all SSPs will personally supervise processions in their respective districts. Two main processions will start from Memon Masjid. The first procession begins at 2:30pm and ends at Aram Bagh Masjid. The central procession, led by Maulana Shah Abdul Haq Qadri, will start at 3:00pm and conclude at Nishtar Park. Entry of unauthorized vehicles on MA Jinnah Road will be prohibited, except for procession vehicles with official stickers.

For District Central, traffic from Nazimabad can use Lasbela Chowk via Nishtar Road toward Garden, while vehicles from Liaquatabad may take Teen Hatti to Lasbela Chowk and turn left toward Central Jail. Motorists from Hassan Square to PPP Chowrangi can use Kashmir Road, Society Light Signal, and Jail Flyover to reach Teen Hatti and Nishtar Road. No traffic will be allowed from Guru Mandir to Numaish.

In District East, vehicles from Shahrah-e-Faisal to Numaish will divert via Shahrah-e-Quaideen and Society Light Signal to Kashmir Road. Jamshed Road traffic toward Guru Mandir can use Bahadur Yar Jang Road and Soldier Bazaar.

For District South, vehicles from Garden Zoo to MA Jinnah Road will be diverted via Uncle Sarya to Gul Plaza or Coast Guard near Holy Family Hospital. Traffic from Lucky Star to MA Jinnah Road via Empress Market will divert from Saddar Dawakhana toward PPP Chowrangi. Other key diversions include MR Kiyani Chowk to Court Road via Arts Council to Pakistan Chowk, and Shahrah-e-Liaquat to Burns Road via Aram Bagh signal to Pakistan Chowk.

The traffic plan issued also bans all heavy and commercial vehicles citywide on 12th Rabi ul Awal. Citizens have been advised to follow alternative routes to avoid delays and inconvenience.

The traffic plan issued aims to ensure safety and smooth flow while maintaining the festive spirit of Eid Milad un Nabi in Karachi.
