The 127th Urs of the esteemed Sufi poet Hazrat Khawaja Ghulam Farid began on Wednesday in Kot Mithan, Rajanpur district. A large number of devotees from across the country are attending the celebrations, which started on the 5th of Rabi’ul-Thani.
Earlier, Deputy Commissioner Shafqatullah led a meeting to review preparations for the pilgrims. The district administration instructed the health department to set up medical camps and directed MAPCO to avoid load shedding during the Urs.

The Municipal Committee has been assigned the responsibility of maintaining sanitation, providing clean drinking water, and ensuring proper food hygiene at the stalls. Civil Defence is implementing stringent security measures, including searches and scans at Darbar Farid.
Traffic police have been tasked with managing parking and ensuring smooth traffic flow during the event. Key officials from Rescue 1122, the police, public health, and other departments are collaborating to ensure the safety and comfort of all attendees.
