Security Forces Kill 197 Terrorists in Balochistan Operations

ISLAMABAD: Pakistanโ€™s Security forces have killed at least 197 terrorists linked to an Indian proxy group during major operations in Balochistan over the past three days. Officials said the Security operations are still ongoing across several districts of the province.

According to official sources, the actions involved pursuit and sanitisation campaigns. These operations targeted militant hideouts in remote and sensitive areas. Security agencies remain on high alert to prevent further attacks and protect civilians.

During the operations, 22 personnel from the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps, Police, and Pakistan Maritime Security Agency were martyred. Officials said they lost their lives while defending the country and ensuring public safety. Their sacrifices were praised by senior Security officials.

The violence also affected civilians. At least 36 innocent people, including women and children, were killed in militant attacks. Many victims belonged to local Baloch communities. Authorities described these attacks as deliberate attempts to spread fear and instability.

A series of coordinated terrorist assaults hit multiple areas. These included Quetta, Gwadar, Mastung, Noshki, Dalbandin, Kharan, and Pasni. The attacks involved gunmen and suicide bombers targeting public and Security locations.

Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti confirmed earlier that 145 terrorists were eliminated in one day. He said intelligence reports had warned about possible attacks. Security forces responded quickly and prevented even larger damage.

Bugti stated that the government stands with the families of the martyrs. He said the state will support their children and take responsibility for their future. He also expressed deep sorrow over the civilian deaths.

In Gwadar, terrorists reportedly killed five women and three children. Bugti called the incident a brutal crime against humanity. He said such actions show the militantsโ€™ disregard for innocent lives.

Security officials stressed that the operations will continue. They aim to eliminate all terrorist networks in the region. The goal is to restore peace and long-term stability in Balochistan.

Authorities also rejected foreign involvement in internal unrest. They said hostile elements are trying to weaken Pakistan through proxy groups. However, Security agencies remain determined to counter all threats.
