Army Officer Killed Following Wounds in Tirah Valley

On Sunday, Pakistan Army officer Uzair Mahmood Malik was martyred at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Peshawar.

The ISPR reported that on August 9, security forces clashed with terrorists at three different sites in Tirah Valley, Khyber District. Lieutenant Uzair Mahmood Malik, demonstrating exceptional courage, led his troops and eliminated four terrorists at one of the locations.

Despite his bravery, Malik was severely injured during the firefight and was transferred to CMH Peshawar for treatment. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries. The 24-year-old officer, from District Attock, is remembered for his sacrifice.

The ISPR reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to eradicating terrorism, with the sacrifices of brave officers like Malik reinforcing the nation’s determination.
