The founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has been formally arrested in connection with a case filed by the New Town Police, which includes anti-terrorism provisions. This case relates to his call for a protest on September 28.
The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) judge is scheduled to visit Adiala Jail today to hear the police’s request for the physical remand of the PTI founder. Public prosecutor Zaheer Shah will present arguments supporting the remand request.

Additionally, a Rawalpindi police investigation team will also be at Adiala Jail to proceed with their inquiry. If the remand is granted, the team intends to interrogate the PTI founder on-site.
