Attack On The National Oil Pipeline Has Been Labeled As An Act Of Terrorism

The Punjab Home Department has introduced new policy guidelines to enhance the security of the National Oil Pipeline Network.

Under these guidelines, attacks on the National Oil Pipeline and other national infrastructure are now classified as terrorism.

District administrations are instructed to provide heightened security for the National Oil Pipeline, with a joint mechanism to protect all security installations in the province.

Police and law enforcement agencies are assigned the responsibility of safeguarding these critical assets.

The National Oil Pipeline Network, which covers around 2000 km, highlights the significance of these security measures. The new directive will be integrated into the Provincial Disaster Response Plan to improve emergency response and coordination.
