3 Police Officers Martyred, 16 Injured in Mastung Truck Bomb Attack

At least three members of the Balochistan Constabulary were martyred, and 19 others were injured in a devastating explosion on Monday in Mastung, Balochistan. The blast targeted a vehicle carrying security personnel along Dasht Road, using a remote-controlled improvised explosive device (IED) hidden in a motorcycle parked by the roadside.

The Constabulary officers were returning from duty when the attack occurred. Law enforcement and rescue teams quickly responded to the scene, securing the area.

The bodies of the deceased and the injured were transported to a nearby hospital, with two of the injured in critical condition and being moved to Quetta for further treatment.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident, but no group has yet claimed responsibility. Mastung, a district approximately 50 km from Quetta, has been the site of numerous attacks on security forces in recent years, underscoring ongoing security concerns in the region.

The Balochistan Constabulary is vital for maintaining law and order and supporting counter-terrorism operations in the province.
