The City Court placed a woman, Natasha, suspected of causing a fatal accident on Karsaz Road, under a one-day physical remand after the incident resulted in two deaths and five injuries.
The special magistrate ordered Natasha to be presented in court the following day with a detailed medical report. The investigating officer had initially requested a seven-day remand.

Natasha, who suffered a head injury during the accident, was taken into custody by police and Rangers, and her vehicle was impounded. She was later admitted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for a medical examination, where a psychiatric specialist determined she was unfit to appear in court.
Her lawyer, Amir Mansoob, informed the court that Natasha had been receiving psychiatric treatment for five years and was not in a condition to stand trial. The court denied the bail request due to her absence and the special magisterial duty’s limited authority, while the case was adjourned until the next day, with questions raised about the validity of her UK driving license in Pakistan.
