The massive fire at Gul Plaza, located on MA Jinnah Road, prompted a major emergency response. Chief Fire Officer Muhammad Humayun Khan stated that the fire was brought under control after 34 hours. However, cooling operations continue to prevent flare-ups. He added that the prolonged blaze caused several tragic losses, leaving 14 confirmed dead and 59 others still missing. Families fear that some of the unaccounted individuals, including several children, may have perished.
