JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman rejected proposed amendments to the madrassa bill, stating his party would not entertain any government suggestions. Speaking in Charsadda, he criticized the President for returning the already approved bill and questioned the rationale behind objections raised.

Fazl emphasized the bill’s autonomy for madrasahs to affiliate with federal institutions, dismissing claims of politicization. He warned against attempts to control religious seminaries and urged unity among scholars ahead of a key meeting on December 17.
The JUI-F leader also warned of his party’s readiness for strong resistance, asserting their resolve against threats and alleged violations of agreements.
