According to a statement by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), COAS General Syed Asim Munir honored retired army personnel, recognizing their significant contributions and dedication to the nation’s history.

On this Independence Day, COAS hosted a reception for Army veterans, bringing together numerous retired officers and soldiers.

The Army Chief commended the retired personnel for their pivotal role in shaping the country’s history and emphasized the importance of unity and resilience in overcoming challenges. He encouraged veterans to continue contributing to Pakistan’s progress and development.

COAS also cautioned against the impact of fake news and propaganda intended to undermine the relationship between the military and the public, assuring that the strong support of the nation, including that of veterans, would counter such efforts.

At the reception, army veterans reaffirmed their trust in the current leadership and pledged to support efforts against both internal and external security threats, ISPR added. The event underscored the enduring bond between the Army and its veterans, united in their commitment to the nation’s security and prosperity.
