Full Court Reference Issued for Retiring Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa

Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa will retire soon, and a full court reference is scheduled in his honor on October 25 at 10:30 a.m., as announced by an official circular from the Supreme Court’s Registrar’s Office.

This event is a traditional gesture to recognize the contributions of the outgoing chief justice to the judiciary and legal community. Senior judges, lawyers, and officials are expected to attend, commemorating the end of Justice Qazi Faez Isa’s tenure.

Additionally, Registrar Jazila Saleem has communicated with the president of the Supreme Court Bar Association regarding the reference and requested a copy of the president’s speech for the occasion.

Justice Qazi Faez Isa took the oath of office as the 29th Chief Justice of Pakistan on September 17, 2023. The ceremony, held at Aiwan-i-Sadr in Islamabad, was conducted by former President Arif Alvi and attended by caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar, Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir, and all Supreme Court judges. Former Chief Justices Iftikhar Chaudhry and Tassaduq Hussain Jillani were also in attendance.
