ISLAMABAD: HEC Announces applications for Phase XIII of the Pak-France PERIDOT Mobility Grant Programme, inviting faculty members from public and private universities across Pakistan to apply. The initiative aims to strengthen research cooperation between Pakistan and France through academic partnerships and researcher exchanges.
The programme is jointly managed by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan and the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development (MAEDI), along with the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research (MESR).
The PERIDOT Mobility Grant Programme supports scientific and technological collaboration between researchers from both countries. It encourages universities and research institutions to establish long-term partnerships and promote joint research projects.
With the latest announcement, HEC Announces an opportunity for Pakistani researchers to work closely with French academic institutions. The programme also promotes knowledge sharing through researcher mobility and collaborative projects.
According to HEC, the grant helps researchers build new partnerships between higher education institutions and research laboratories in Pakistan and France. It also supports academic exchanges that can strengthen research capacity in both countries.
For Phase XIII, HEC has identified three priority research areas. These include Health Sciences, Sustainable Energy, Agriculture and Food Security, and the Economics of Climate Change.
Applicants must submit a joint proposal with a faculty member from a French university or research institution. This collaboration is a mandatory requirement for participation in the programme.
HEC has also made it clear that applicants must first submit their joint proposal through Campus France before applying to the commission. Without this step, applications will not be considered.
The online application portal officially opened on July 6, 2026. Interested faculty members can now begin submitting their proposals through the HEC online system.
The deadline for submitting applications is September 30, 2026, at 4:00 PM Pakistan Standard Time (PST). Researchers are encouraged to complete the application process before the closing date to avoid any delays.
The PERIDOT programme operates under the Hubert Curien Partnership (PHC) framework. It has become an important platform for promoting international scientific collaboration between Pakistan and France.
