A spell of hot weather continues across most parts of Pakistan. Several regions of Sindh and Balochistan are facing extreme temperatures. The situation has created heatwave-like conditions in many areas.
According to the Meteorological Department, the hot weather is expected to intensify in the coming days. Turbat may experience temperatures up to 45 degrees Celsius. Mithi, Jacobabad, and Nawabshah could reach 44 degrees Celsius.
In other cities, the hot weather is also severe. Hyderabad, Sukkur, and Larkana are expected to record temperatures around 42 degrees Celsius. These high readings show persistent heat across the region.
Karachi has seen a slight drop in temperature compared to the previous day. However, the city still faces hot weather conditions. The temperature is expected to remain around 38 degrees Celsius. Weather officials confirmed that conditions will stay dry and uncomfortable.
The Meteorological Office also warned of another heatwave starting from May 7 in Sindh. Karachi is expected to face a new rise in temperatures from May 13. Officials said the hot weather trend is likely to continue for several days.
There is no chance of rainfall in Karachi during May, according to current forecasts. The weather department stated that existing models show no precipitation in the region.
Authorities have advised citizens to take precautionary measures during this hot weather spell. People are urged to avoid direct sunlight during peak hours. Staying hydrated and drinking plenty of water is strongly recommended.
Karachi recently experienced one of its hottest days of the season. The temperature crossed 40 degrees Celsius. This was due to a break in sea breeze and strong dry winds from the northwest.
The extreme hot weather has already caused serious health concerns. Reports suggest multiple heat-related deaths in Karachi over the past few days. Officials have urged the public to remain cautious and limit outdoor activity.
As the hot weather continues, authorities remain on alert. They are closely monitoring the situation and updating advisories for public safety.
