The Health Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has announced hundreds of Vaccinator Jobs across different districts of the province. The recruitment drive aims to strengthen immunization services and improve vaccination coverage in various regions.
According to official reports, more than 830 vaccinators will be hired under the Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI). Authorities have already started the recruitment process, which will be conducted on a contract basis.
Officials said a total of Rs253.16 million has been allocated for the hiring process. Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary of Rs40,000 after appointment. The government believes these Vaccinator Jobs will help improve healthcare services and support vaccination campaigns across the province.
The KP Director Health Services issued instructions to all District Health Officers to complete recruitment procedures as quickly as possible. Authorities stated that appointments will be made temporarily for the financial year 2025–26.
According to the official notification, the recruitment process will follow the Initial Appointment Rules for Civil Servants 2026. The Health Department has also shared district-wise vacancy details for applicants interested in the available positions.
These new Vaccinator Jobs come at an important time as Pakistan continues efforts to strengthen routine immunization and fight diseases such as polio. Health officials say vaccinators play a major role in protecting children from preventable diseases through regular vaccination campaigns.
The latest announcement follows recent reports of new polio cases in Pakistan. Earlier this month, two additional polio cases were reported from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, increasing the total number of cases recorded this year.
According to sources from the National Institute of Health, one case was identified in Jani Khel, Bannu, while another was reported from Gariom in North Waziristan. Health officials noted that some union councils in these areas remain difficult to access for vaccination teams.
Authorities said security concerns have affected anti-polio campaigns in certain regions. Due to these challenges, vaccination teams have faced difficulties reaching children in high-risk areas.
Officials believe the recruitment of more vaccinators could improve healthcare outreach and support immunization efforts in underserved districts. The government hopes the additional workforce will strengthen disease prevention programs and improve vaccination coverage.
