The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has announced scheduled power outages for October 3 and 4. The shutdowns will affect several feeders in Islamabad, Attock and GSO circles.
The planned outages are linked to ongoing development and electricity infrastructure projects. The work includes flyover and underpass construction and road widening.
It also involves installing new 11kV feeders and shifting electricity poles. Other power installations will also be relocated during the work.
On Saturday, October 3, several Islamabad Circle feeders will remain without power. Islamabad Club-1, Islamabad Club-2, Mehfooz Shaheed/Shahzad Town and Filtration Plant are included.
Pindorian, Scheme-2, Orchard Scheme and CDA Pump feeders will also be affected. These feeders will face outages from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Sudhran feeder will remain affected for a longer period. Its scheduled shutdown will run from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Several feeders in the GSO Circle will also face power suspension. The affected feeders include Line Park, Behkri, Al-Qaim and Sarkal.
Mangan, Karyala, Jamal Wal, Millat Chowk and Al-Qadir are also included. KSM Unit-3, Al-Rizwan, PAF, Bhun and Hasil feeders will also be affected.
Nela, Pipli, Balkasa, Kot Chaudhrian, Kasral and Dullah feeders are also on the list. The GSO Circle outages are scheduled from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m.
On Sunday, October 4, the same Islamabad Circle feeders will remain affected. Their scheduled outage will continue from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
IESCO will also suspend power to several additional Islamabad feeders. These include Chatta Bakhtawar, Tramari, CM Pak Zong and Kurri.
Rehara, Park Enclave-1, Kund Rajgan and Scheme-1 feeders will also face shutdowns. King Hammad, PHA-1, Isolation Hospital, IT Park and ISI feeders are included.
In Attock Circle, four feeders will experience scheduled outages. These include Lala Zar, POF, Munirabad and Karnel Sher Khan feeders.
The Attock outages will take place from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. The scheduled GSO Circle feeders will remain affected from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m.
According to IESCO, the shutdowns will support the safe completion of development work. The company said the work also requires relocation of power infrastructure.
