Islamabad and Rawalpindi Release Traffic Plan for Eid Milad un Nabi

Authorities have issued a comprehensive traffic management plan for Islamabad and Rawalpindi ahead of the 12th Rabi ul Awal processions on 17th September 2024 (Eid Milad-un-Nabi).

Many roads in both cities will be closed for the processions, and citizens are advised to use alternative routes to avoid disruptions. Key roads in Rawalpindi, including Murree Road and areas around Fawara Chowk and Raja Bazaar, will face complete closures.

Traffic diversions for travelers between Islamabad and Rawalpindi include using Rawal Road, Airport Road, or Tipu Road to bypass closed areas. Those traveling from Islamabad via Murree Road will be rerouted through the Aghaz Flyover and Chandni Chowk.

Residents are encouraged to plan their routes in advance and monitor real-time traffic updates to minimize inconvenience.
