Justice Abid Aziz has been sworn in as the acting chief justice of the Lahore High Court.
The oath-taking took place at the Lahore High Court, with Justice Shahid Karim administering the oath.

The ceremony was attended by Justices Shams Mehmood Mirza, Rasal Hassan Syed, and Mazamil Akhtar Shabbir, among others, including Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh, Justice Shahbaz Rizvi, Advocate General Punjab Khalid Ishaq, Vice Chairman Punjab Bar Council Babar Waheed, Lahore Bar President Muneer Ahmed Bhatti, and Lahore High Court Bar President Asad Manzoor Butt.
Chief Justice Aalia Neelam is currently abroad and will return by August 25.
