The Election Commission of Pakistan has unveiled its latest voter registration data, highlighting Lahore as the city with the highest number of registered voters, reaching 7.17 million. Despite Karachi being divided into four districts, its combined voter count stands at 6.23 million, falling short of Lahore’s figures.
Faisalabad follows in second place with 5.47 million registered voters, while Rawalpindi ranks third with 3.4 million voters. Other notable districts include Multan with 3.21 million voters, Rahim Yar Khan with 3.14 million, and Sialkot with 2.88 million.

The total number of registered voters across Pakistan has now exceeded 132.6 million. Of these, 71.2 million are male voters, and 61.3 million are female voters. Islamabad accounts for 1.17 million voters, while Punjab, being the largest province, leads with 75.5 million registered voters, followed by Sindh with 27.8 million. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan have 22.5 million and 5.43 million voters, respectively.
In another recent development, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) clarified the procedure for including the designation “Resident of AJK State” on Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs). This clarification follows rumors of policy changes regarding the CNICs of residents of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK). NADRA emphasized that the designation remains unchanged and explained the requirements for applicants.
