Keep Your Umbrella Handy—Lahore Could See More Rain Until July 13

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast more Rain for Lahore today. The department has advised authorities to stay alert as wet weather is expected to continue over the next few days. Officials have also warned residents to remain cautious, especially in areas that are vulnerable to flooding.

According to the latest weather update, Lahore’s current temperature is 29°C. The humidity level has reached 77 percent, making the weather feel warm and humid. Winds are blowing at a speed of 13 kilometres per hour, while the day’s temperature is expected to remain between 28°C and 36°C.

The Met Office said the ongoing monsoon system remains active over the region. Moisture-rich monsoon currents are continuing to move into the upper parts of Pakistan. Because of this weather pattern, Rain is likely to continue in Lahore until July 13.

Meteorologists have also reported that a western weather system is expected to enter the northern parts of the country later today. This system is expected to increase the chances of rain and thunderstorms in several regions, including parts of Punjab.

The PMD has warned that heavy rainfall may cause water to collect in low-lying areas. Urban flooding is also possible in locations where drainage systems are already under pressure. Relevant departments have been asked to remain prepared for any emergency situation caused by heavy showers.

Light rain during the night has already provided some relief from the recent hot weather. The showers helped lower temperatures, leaving Lahore under partly cloudy skies. More rainfall is expected over the next 24 hours as weather conditions remain favourable for further precipitation.

While Lahore is expected to receive more rain in the coming days, the overall rainfall outlook for Pakistan during July 2026 is mixed. Weather experts expect below-normal rainfall across many parts of the country during the month.

The largest rainfall deficit is expected in northeastern Punjab, adjoining areas of Kashmir, parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and the southeastern districts of Sindh. These regions are likely to receive less rainfall than the seasonal average.

On the other hand, weather conditions are expected to be more favourable in the northern regions. Areas including Gilgit-Baltistan and northeastern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are likely to receive normal or slightly above-normal rainfall during July.
