Lieutenant Colonel and Five Soldiers Martyred in Waziristan Clash with Terrorists

In a tragic firefight in the Spinwam area of North Waziristan, Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Ali Shaukat and five soldiers embraced martyrdom while engaging with terrorists, according to a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The exchange of fire also led to the deaths of six terrorists from the group Fitna al Khawarij.

The fallen soldiers include:

  1. Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Ali Shaukat, aged 43, from Faisalabad.
  2. Lance Naik Muhammad Allah, aged 30, from Khyber District.
  3. Lance Naik Akhtar Zaman, aged 30, from Lakki Marwat.
  4. Lance Naik Shahidullah, aged 29, from Tank District.
  5. Lance Naik Yousaf Ali, aged 31, from Lower Orakzai.
  6. Sepoy Jamil Ahmed, aged 26, from Swat District.

ISPR highlighted the bravery and sacrifice of these soldiers, emphasizing that their loss will only strengthen the resolve of Pakistan’s security forces to eradicate terrorism. A sanitization operation is underway to clear the area of any remaining militants.

Additionally, on the night of October 4-5, law enforcement agencies conducted a joint intelligence-based operation in the Charbagh area of Swat, which resulted in the elimination of two terrorists, including a key leader, Attaullah, who was involved in various attacks, including a recent bomb attack on a police convoy escorting foreign dignitaries. Another terrorist was apprehended in injured condition, and the area has since been secured by security forces.

These operations underscore the ongoing efforts by Pakistan’s security forces to combat terrorism in the region.
