Pakistanis sponsoring foreign nationals can now complete biometric verification from home through the NADRA Pak Identity mobile application. The new service removes the need to visit a NADRA office and makes the Pakistani visa sponsorship process faster and easier.
NADRA introduced the feature to improve convenience for citizens who sponsor foreign applicants. Biometric verification of the sponsorโs Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) is a mandatory requirement for every Pakistani visa sponsorship. Previously, sponsors had to visit a NADRA office to complete this step. Now, the entire process can be completed using a mobile phone without paying any extra fee.
The new option is available through the โVisa Sponsor Biometric Verificationโ feature in the Pak Identity mobile app. It is designed for sponsors whose visa applications have been submitted through the Pakistan Online Visa System.
According to NADRA, once a foreign national submits a visa application, the sponsor receives an email containing the application details. After receiving the email, the sponsor can log in to the Pak Identity app and begin the biometric verification process.
Users who are using the app for the first time must create an account. They need to register with their email address and complete fingerprint and facial verification. Once the account is successfully activated, they can access different NADRA services, including biometric verification for visa sponsorship.
The application also allows eligible users to verify the biometrics of a close blood relative where permitted under NADRAโs rules. This provides added flexibility for families handling visa sponsorship matters.
After the biometric verification is completed successfully, the sponsor receives a confirmation message stating โVerification Successful.โ The visa application status is then updated automatically in the system. This allows the Pakistani visa application to move forward without additional paperwork or office visits.
The latest facility is part of NADRAโs efforts to expand digital public services across Pakistan. By moving the verification process online, the authority aims to reduce waiting times and improve the overall experience for citizens.
Officials say the new system is also more secure because biometric verification is completed through the official Pak Identity application. The digital process helps reduce manual procedures while ensuring that identity verification remains accurate.
The service is available free of cost, making it a convenient option for Pakistani citizens sponsoring foreign nationals. Since the process is completed entirely through a smartphone, users can finish the required verification from anywhere without visiting a NADRA center.
