Authorities in Kurram district have initiated an operation in four troubled areas after a deadly attack on a convoy and the abduction of several individuals.
Temporary Displaced Persons (TDP) camps have been set up in Thal and Hangu to accommodate 1,079 families. These camps will ensure safety and aid for the affected residents.

The district has faced long-standing sectarian tensions, with recent clashes escalating into violent land disputes. Despite a peace deal signed earlier this month, violence persists, leading to severe shortages of food and medicines in Parachinar.
