On Tuesday, Pakistan vehemently condemned recent statements made by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Gujarat, describing them as hate-fueled calls to violence and a disturbing deviation from the responsible conduct expected of the leader of a nuclear-armed nation.
The Foreign Office voiced serious concern over the worsening tone and rhetoric of India’s leadership, urging the international community to recognize the threat such remarks pose to peace and stability in the region.

Foreign Office spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan criticized Modi’s speech for its aggressive, election-style fervor, which lacks the restraint and dignity expected from a head of government. He warned that such language sets a dangerous example in an already tense environment and lamented the decline in political maturity and decorum within Indian governance.
Khan stressed that this provocative rhetoric breaches the core principles of the United Nations Charter, which requires member states to settle disputes peacefully and refrain from threats or acts against the sovereignty and political independence of other nations.
Pakistan regards these remarks as reckless provocations aimed at diverting attention from ongoing human rights violations and demographic engineering in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, he said.
Highlighting Pakistan’s longstanding role in UN peacekeeping and global anti-terrorism efforts, Khan suggested these contributions contrast sharply with India’s hostile rhetoric.
He also pointed out rising majoritarianism, religious intolerance, and the systematic marginalization of minorities under India’s Hindutva ideology as serious issues that New Delhi must address.
Reaffirming Pakistan’s dedication to peace founded on mutual respect and sovereign equality, the spokesperson warned that any threat to Pakistan’s security or territorial integrity would be met with a decisive and appropriate response under Article 51 of the UN Charter.
The Foreign Office called on the international community to seriously consider India’s increasingly provocative and aggressive statements, which jeopardize regional stability and hinder the chances of lasting peace in South Asia.
