Pakistan’s Hajj Operation has entered its final stage as thousands of pilgrims continue reaching Saudi Arabia ahead of Hajj 2026. Officials said most pilgrims under the government scheme have already arrived in the Kingdom through a large-scale flight operation carried out over the last month.
According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs, around 87 percent of Pakistani pilgrims have reached Saudi Arabia so far. The remaining pilgrims are expected to arrive within the next four days before the start of Hajj rituals.
Ministry spokesperson Umar Butt said the Hajj Operation is progressing smoothly from different cities across Pakistan. He stated that more than 103,000 government scheme pilgrims have already landed in Saudi Arabia through 388 flights.
Officials confirmed that only 15,321 pilgrims are still waiting to travel. These pilgrims are expected to depart through the remaining scheduled flights within 96 hours.
Data shared by the ministry showed that 184 flights have landed in Madinah, while 229 flights have reached Jeddah. Many pilgrims first stayed in Madinah before moving to Makkah for Hajj preparations.
At present, nearly 99,000 Pakistani pilgrims are staying in Makkah. Around 4,690 pilgrims are currently residing in Madinah. Authorities said more than 41,000 pilgrims have already completed their stay in Madinah and shifted to Makkah.
The government has also deployed welfare and medical staff to assist pilgrims during the sacred journey. Officials stated that 96 percent of the total support staff is already performing duties in Saudi Arabia.
This includes Hajj assistants, technical teams, Khuddam staff, and medical workers. The ministry said these teams are helping pilgrims with accommodation, health services, and travel guidance.
Special “Haram Guides” are also assisting pilgrims around Masjid al-Haram. So far, more than 20,000 pilgrims have received support from these guides.
Meanwhile, thousands of Pakistani pilgrims in Madinah have visited Riaz-ul-Jannah. Ministry figures showed that over 38,000 Pakistanis have been facilitated for the spiritual visit.
Transport arrangements have also been expanded under the ongoing Hajj Operation. Authorities increased the shuttle bus fleet in Makkah to 469 buses. These buses are operating around the clock to transport pilgrims between their residences and Haram Shareef.

Officials said the highest transport activity has been recorded in Sector 1, Sector 7, and Sector 8 of Makkah as the final phase of Hajj preparations continues.
