During the Senate session, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar revealed that the national flag carrier, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), is expected to resume its flights to the United Kingdom in October. He mentioned that the government has been working on legislations related to safety and regulations to meet international aviation standards.
Once the legislation is approved, it will clear the way for the revival of flights to the UK. The finance minister highlighted that PIA had previously generated a revenue of Rs. 59 billion from its UK flights, which ceased after the ban.
