The District South Police have obtained a detailed statement from Nusrat Sobia, the mother-in-law of the deceased TikToker. She revealed that she has been living in Gulistan-e-Jauhar on rent for the past 16 years. After learning about her daughter-in-law’s tragic demise through news channels, she immediately returned to Karachi from her hometown in Gujarat. Nusrat Sobia mentioned that her elder son, Mohammad Adil, has been battling drug addiction and frequently stays away from home for several days. Ayesha had been married to Adil for two years and used to live with her mother-in-law while working at a beauty salon. Despite her mother-in-law’s request to not pursue legal action, the police have declined to hand over the deceased’s body to her.

The authorities will either hand over Ayesha’s remains to her father, Muhammad Hanif, or her husband, Adil, based on their decision to pursue legal proceedings. A case will be registered based on the complaint filed by the father. If the father chooses not to proceed, the government will take necessary action. Ayesha’s mother has passed away, and she is survived by five sisters and one brother.

Preliminary information suggests that Ayesha was attending a private party at an unoccupied house in DHA, Phase 1. The owner of the house has not come forward yet and will be questioned in relation to the case. The police are actively searching for two individuals named Sehrish and Gibran, who fled the scene after leaving Ayesha’s body at the JPMC. Despite conducting raids at various locations, the authorities have not apprehended them yet.

The South District Police are committed to a thorough investigation and ensuring the swift arrest of the absconding suspects. They are determined to hold all those responsible accountable for their actions.
