The districts of Sujawal and Thatta recently experienced heavy rainfall, which severely affected several areas, particularly in Taluka Jati. The rain caused significant disruption, with road connectivity to remote areas being cut off.

Local sources reported that the failure to clear outfall drains in time led to overflow, worsening the flooding after the rains. This contributed to the challenging conditions that ultimately claimed the lives of the two women.
