LAHORE: The Punjab government has launched the third batch of Phase II of its climate internship programme.
The Chief Minister’s Climate Leadership Development Internship Programme offers graduates a monthly stipend of Rs60,000.
Selected candidates will receive the stipend for three months during their internship. The programme will combine professional training with practical field experience.
Interns will also receive mentorship throughout the programme. They will take part in activities focused on climate change and environmental protection.
The initiative aims to help graduates develop practical skills in the environmental sector. Participants will gain exposure to ongoing climate-related projects across Punjab.
Women to Receive Half of Seats
The Punjab government has reserved 50 percent of available seats for women. A separate quota has also been allocated for graduates with foreign degrees.
Candidates will be selected through an automated merit-based process. The selection system is intended to ensure transparency during the recruitment process.
Successful applicants will receive access to a Learning Management System portal. The platform will support their training and learning during the internship.
Interns will also participate in district-level field inspections. These activities will provide direct exposure to environmental challenges and government initiatives.
International Certification Opportunity
The programme will offer participants an opportunity to earn international certification. The certification will be available through the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
