Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has announced a sweeping plan to revolutionize public education with advanced technology and infrastructure improvements. Speaking at the Laptop and Honahar Scholarship distribution ceremony at the University of Sargodha, she detailed initiatives aimed at leveling the playing field for students across the province.
Key reforms include merit-based scholarships to expand access to higher education starting next academic year, along with the installation of electric bike charging stations and the creation of AI and computer labs in 6,000 government schools. Additionally, the plan calls for constructing 50,000 new classrooms and supplying essential furniture like chairs and desks to every public school.

โMy goal is to see students of government schools equal, if not superior, to those in private institutions,โ Maryam Nawaz stated, underscoring her commitment to equitable education opportunities. She also reminded students to verify information before sharing online, emphasizing responsible digital citizenship.
With a focus on inclusivity and support for all learners, the chief minister concluded by expressing her vision for every boy and girl in Punjab to succeed academically and beyond.
