Punjab’s government schools have released the official schedule for annual examinations starting March 9, 2026. Students across all grades are advised to follow the timetable carefully to avoid confusion.
The exams will be conducted in two shifts. The morning shift runs from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, while the afternoon shift is scheduled from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. On Fridays, the afternoon shift will extend from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm to accommodate school operations.
According to the announced schedule, each grade has specific subjects assigned to exam days:
- 1st Grade: English exam on March 9.
- 2nd Grade: General Knowledge exam.
- 3rd Grade: Islamic Studies and Ethics exam.
- 4th Grade: Mathematics exam.
- 5th Grade: Islamic Studies and Ethics exam.
- 6th Grade: Mathematics exam.
- 7th Grade: Computer Science and Arabic exams.
- 8th Grade: Mathematics exam.
In addition, the schedule includes Quran Recitation, Quran Translation, Tajweed Rules, and special papers for Reading, Listening, and Speaking. Schools have been instructed to strictly follow the timetable to ensure smooth examination management.
Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of the education boards have emphasized full compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) during the School-Based Assessment (SBA) exams. They warned that any deviations from the schedule or SOPs could affect the evaluation process and overall exam integrity.
Parents and students are encouraged to check the respective school notice boards or official education board websites to confirm individual exam dates. Early preparation and adherence to the schedule will help students avoid last-minute confusion and ensure a smooth exam process.
The Punjab education authorities have assured that all necessary arrangements, including seating, invigilation, and examination materials, will be managed according to the schedule, ensuring a fair and organized testing environment for all students.
