The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) of Punjab has announced that Monsoon Rains are set to start today and will continue until August 12. Significant rainfall is expected, with heavy rain, wind, and thunder predicted for most districts in south Punjab, particularly on August 10 and 11.
Major cities including Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, and others, as well as divisions like Bahawalpur and Faisalabad, will be affected. The PDMA has issued an alert for preparations, advising residents to be ready for potential disruptions.

In Islamabad, hot and humid weather will persist, with some rain likely. Balochistan will experience hot and humid conditions, with heavy rain expected at night in areas such as Qalat and Khuzdar.
Sindh will have partly cloudy to cloudy weather with light rain possible in several areas. The northwestern regions and cities like Attock and Sialkot are also on alert for varying degrees of rain.
The weather department cautions about potential heavy rain in areas including Loralai and Dera Bugti, urging residents to stay informed and take precautions.
