The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab has announced that the fourth monsoon spell will start on July 22 and continue until July 25. The PDMA spokesperson indicated that South Punjab will experience wind and thunderstorms, especially on July 23 and 24.
The rains are predicted to impact various regions including Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Bahawalpur, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, and Gujarat. PDMA Director General Irfan Ali Kathia has alerted local administrations to prepare and stay vigilant. Urban administrations are urged to finalize preparations, and departments like WASA, Irrigation, Rescue services, and Civil Defence are on high alert.

The PDMA control room is monitoring the situation 24/7, with current river and dam water levels reported as normal. The public is advised to adhere to safety guidelines, seek shelter from lightning, and avoid unsafe areas. For emergencies, contact the PDMA helpline at 1129.
