The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast fresh Rain and dust-thunderstorms in several parts of the country from May 10 to May 12. Officials said a new westerly weather wave is expected to enter northwestern regions on May 10.
According to the Met Office, the weather system is likely to remain active in upper parts of the country until the night of May 12. The expected Rain may bring relief from the ongoing heatwave in many northern and central areas.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, dust storms and Rain are expected in several districts. These include Chitral, Swat, Kalam, Dir, Shangla, Kohistan, Malakand, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Haripur, Swabi, Mardan, Peshawar, Bajaur, Khyber, Kohat, Kurram, Hangu, and Karak.
Weather officials warned that thunderstorms could also occur in some mountainous regions. Residents were advised to remain careful during strong winds and heavy rainfall.
In Islamabad and various parts of Punjab, Rain is expected from the evening of May 10 until May 12 with occasional breaks.
The affected areas include Murree, Galiyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Okara, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Narowal, Jhang, and Sahiwal.
The Met Office also predicted thunderstorms and rainfall in Gilgit-Baltistan. Areas likely to receive rain include Diamir, Astore, Ghizer, Skardu, Hunza, Gilgit, Guanche, and Shigar.
Meanwhile, several areas of Azad Kashmir are expected to receive rainfall from May 11 to May 13. These regions include Neelum Valley, Muzaffarabad, Bagh, Kotli, Mirpur, Haveli, Poonch, and Bhimber.
Officials said the incoming weather system may reduce temperatures in upper regions. However, very hot weather is expected to continue in southern areas of the country.
Parts of south Punjab, Sindh, and Balochistan are likely to remain under intense heat conditions during the coming days.

The Met Office advised travelers and residents in hilly areas to stay updated about weather conditions. Authorities may issue further alerts if the intensity of the Rain system increases.
