On Monday, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi advocated for the live broadcast of the cypher case, asserting that transparency is crucial for determining loyalty to the country. Speaking informally with the media at Adiala Jail, Qureshi highlighted the international importance of the case and expressed a desire for global media coverage.
He questioned the denial of access to international media for observing the proceedings, stating that if there are faults, the world should be aware of them. Qureshi emphasized PTI founder Imran Khan’s demand for transparent elections and noted that Khan is committed to fighting until the end.

Qureshi also raised concerns about the legitimacy of elections, stating that “arranged and engineered” elections would not be accepted by the people. He questioned the delay in the Election Commission of Pakistan’s decision on intra-party elections, suggesting that it was intentional.
According to Qureshi, some party leaders have approached him, expressing concerns about the imprisonment of several PTI leaders. He claimed that Amir Kayani, Imran Ismail, Ali Zaidi, Mahmood Molvi, and Tanvir Ilyas asked him to leave PTI.
Qureshi revealed that both he and Imran Khan are in solitary confinement and emphasized that the doors for negotiations in politics are never closed. He stated that PTI is open to dialogue for the defense of the Constitution and to ensure transparent elections.
