Karachi Police Officer's Misconduct Towards Traffic Cop

Police authorities have taken action following an incident at Teen Talwar Chowrangi in Clifton, Karachi, where an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) got into a confrontation with traffic police after his son’s vehicle was fined.

The dispute arose when traffic officers issued a challan to the district police officer’s son for using fancy number plates and tinted windows.

ASI Gulzar, identified as the officer involved, arrived at the scene to argue with the traffic police after the incident occurred within the Frere Police jurisdiction on Thursday afternoon.

According to SSP Investigation South, Abdul Rahim Shirazi, ASI Gulzar was suspended after a video revealed his inappropriate behavior towards the traffic officers for issuing the fine to his son.

The situation escalated further when district police officers reportedly used offensive language against Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Salman Zafar.

In a video circulating on social media, the district policemen were heard accusing ASI Zafar of soliciting a Rs100 bribe for the traffic violation concerning the fancy number plate.
