Transgender individuals are urging the Sindh government to create separate wards in public hospitals and shelter homes for elderly members of their community.
During a press conference, transgender leader Alisha highlighted the recent death of a community member, Nuri, who passed away due to inadequate medical facilities at Civil Hospital.

She expressed concern that basic healthcare services are lacking not just for transgender individuals, but for the general public as well.
Despite existing laws, Alisha noted that transgender people do not receive the necessary support in any institutions. She mentioned that only the police department has set up a transgender desk, with no provisions made in other departments.
Alisha called on the local and Sindh governments to implement special services for transgender individuals and urged the establishment of separate wards for them in public hospitals.
