On Saturday, the Supreme Court granted bail to Raza Ali, a suspect involved in the Jinnah House attack case, directing his release upon furnishing surety bonds amounting to Rs200,000.
The case was reviewed by a bench led by Justice Hashim Kakar, who questioned the specifics of the accusations against Raza Ali. During the hearing, the judge inquired, โWhat precisely is he being accused of?โ

The defense lawyer explained that Raza Ali faced charges of injuring a sub-inspector by throwing a stone. However, the lawyer pointed out that a similar allegation had already been made against another accused, Zain-ul-Abideen, who had previously been granted bail.
Justice Kakar responded, โHow is it possible for two different individuals to injure the same police officer? Prosecutor, how can identical charges be filed against two separate persons?โ
He also observed that the injured sub-inspectorโs name was missing from the official list of injured personnel, casting doubt on the accuracy and reliability of the police FIR.
Considering the evidence and discrepancies in the case, the Supreme Court approved Raza Aliโs bail and ordered his immediate release.
