A heartbreaking incident unfolded in Azad Jammu and Kashmir’s Neelum Valley, where a tourist vehicle plunged into the fast-flowing Neelum River, leaving at least six people dead. According to Deputy Commissioner Nadeem Janjua, the accident occurred in the Chilhana area, a popular but risky stretch for travelers.
Among the deceased were five women, while a young child remains missing. Rescue operations were promptly launched to search for the missing child and recover the bodies. Authorities are continuing efforts despite the challenging river currents and terrain.
