PTI Granted Conditional Approval for Islamabad Public Rally

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad administration has granted a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for a public gathering on September 8.

The gathering is to be held at the GT Road open space, with attendees from Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa advised to use the motorway and Islamabad residents to use New Margalla Road. Separate routes are designated for participants from Rawalpindi and Murree.

The NOC includes conditions, such as no disruption to businesses or road blockages. The event must begin at 4 pm and end by 7 pm, and organisers are responsible for security and ensuring compliance. Hate speech and violations of public rights are prohibited.

Earlier, the Islamabad High Court had nullified the district administration’s previous revocation of PTI’s NOC, directing the administration to reconsider the party’s request under the law.
