In response to the disturbance, Punjab Police took action and conducted a crackdown within Gaddafi Stadium, resulting in the removal of a citizen for chanting slogans in support of the former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s political party.

The recent general elections in the country have led to heightened political fervor and polarization among Pakistani citizens, evident in the political wave seen during such events.

The opening ceremony of the Pakistan Super League commenced with performances by Noori, Ali Zafar, Aima Baig, and the legendary Arif Lohar, setting an upbeat atmosphere for the audience.

The rendition of the National Anthem by Natasha Baig and Leo brothers evoked a sense of pride among the masses in attendance.

Having won the toss, Islamabad United opted to field first. However, Lahore Qalandars displayed an impressive batting performance, posting a total of 195-5 in the first innings, largely thanks to half-centuries from Rassie Van der Dussen and Sahibzada Farhan.
