Sarfaraz Ahmed, the former skipper of Quetta Gladiators, has voiced his support for his teammate Mohammad Amir ahead of the upcoming ICC T20I World Cup scheduled for June. Amir, who has been showcasing exceptional death bowling performances in recent matches, has proven to be a key asset for Quetta Gladiators, consistently restricting opposition teams to under 200 runs.
Sarfaraz, speaking to local media, emphasized the significance of Amir’s inclusion in the team, citing his valuable experience in T20 cricket. He expressed his belief that Amir still has much to offer to the Pakistan national team and encouraged him to consider his future with the team.

Regarding his own role in the team and Rilee Rossouw’s appointment as captain, Sarfaraz expressed contentment and stated that he is enjoying playing as a member of the team. He praised Rossouw’s leadership skills and remained optimistic about the team’s prospects in the ongoing PSL season. While it may be too early to make definitive conclusions, Sarfaraz expressed hope that the team’s current performance would enable them to qualify for the playoffs.
Quetta Gladiators’ upcoming match in the PSL season 9 will be against Islamabad United at the Gaddafi Stadium, where they will aim to continue their positive momentum.
