In a talk show, Wasim Akram strongly condemned Shafique’s celebration, suggesting he should leave cricket for dramas if he wants to silence critics. Akram highlighted Shafique’s dropped catches in Australia and emphasized the need for improvement rather than silencing critics.
The catch, taken during the powerplay off David Weise’s over, aided Lahore Qalandars in reducing Islamabad United to 36-5. Despite the catch, Islamabad United lost the match by 17 runs, falling to 4th place in the PSL standings.
