The Sri Lankan Cricket Board has made the decision not to support Pakistan Cricket in its bid to host the Asia Cup in 2023. The Sri Lankan administration has declined to take part in the hybrid format and has instead expressed a desire to host the Asia Cup independently in 2023.
After Jay Shah, the BCCI secretary, met with the Sri Lankan administration, their perspective changed.
Prior to the hybrid format, Sri Lanka had no reservations about taking part in the Asia Cup hosted by Pakistan.
